Adding Sub-Accounts

MULTIPLE-MEMBER (COMPANY) ACCOUNTS
Once you have signed up for a Company Membership (2 or more people from the same company), you will need to send an email to those people you wish to invite to become Sub-Accounts to your Master Account. Only the Master Account may add (attach) or remove (detach) Sub-Accounts.

ADDING/ATTACHING SUB-ACCOUNTS
1. Sign In to your Master Account.

2. From the My Profile section in the right column, select the Manage Profile link.

3. Click the Sub-accounts link.

4. In the Invite New Members section, enter the email addresses of the people you wish to invite to become Sub-Accounts (one email address per line). It is recommended that you contact them in advance of sending this invitation so they will be expecting it and will know what to do.

5. When your invitees receive the email invitation, they will need to click on the link in the email to take them to the next step. Please note that the links will only work for a very limited time, so you will want to encourage them to respond right away.

6. Once they have clicked on the link in the email invitation, it will give them the chance to attach their existing account (if they already have one on our site), or to create a new account if they do not. If they already have a membership account with the DMA Marketing Communities, they should click the Sign in here link in the grey box. If not, they should select the radio button next to the appropriate geographic region and then click the Continue button.

7. At this point, they should simply follow the remaining directions to complete the process.

REMOVING/DETACHING SUB-ACCOUNTS
1. Sign In to your Master Account.

2. From the My Profile section in the right column, select the Manage Profile link.

3. Click the Sub-accounts link.

4. At the bottom of the page there will be a list of Sub-accounts attached to this Master Account.  If there are none listed, there may be none attached. The second icon from the left (to the left of the X in the red circle) is the Detach Sub-account link.  Click this link for the Sub-account you wish to detach.

5. A warning will appear letting you know you cannot re-attach the sub-account once you detach it.  If you wish to continue, click the OK button to continue and detach the sub-account.

6. You will be returned to your Sub-accounts page and it should show one additional seat (Sub-account) available.  You may now re-use this seat and invite someone else to attach as a Sub-account.  The detached account will remain in the system and the person holding that account may either renew and pay dues directly or allow their membership to expire.
